I trained and registered as a Psychiatric Nurse in 1970 in Newcastle NSW and worked as a charge nurse in a variety of wards including a Psychogeriatric unit. I am a busy active outdoor-loving person- I like to exercise and cycle, train, swim or do yoga every day. I am an outdoor leader for Girl Guides, and teach girls to kayak, abseil and camp on a regular basis. I have 3 children- my eldest daughter has just announced her engagement, and my ‘baby’ is turning 21 in December. I would like a few more hours in every week- to try and fit everything in! I also enjoy watching a movie or reading a book- and have found that listening to audio books in the car helps me fit reading in and reduce travel stress! As my parents and mother-in-law age, I am taking on more of a caring role and life is very busy.

It’s great living on the Central Coast with it’s beautiful beaches, and bays around the lakes. When I’m not at work or accompanying one of our four kids to various events I enjoy being in the water, or on it boating and fishing.
